Pet Cat Show, Photo Competition and Homing Day to be held in Little Downham on 11th March

22 February 2017
11th March sees the return of our annual Pet Cat Show and Homing Day.

Held at Little Downham Village Hall, the Pet Cat Show will see around 30 cats and kittens from all walks of life competing for the Best in Show prize!  Entries have now closed but you can still come along on the day to support the branch, see all the cats in competition and meet our special guest Garfield, the Sainsbury's cat!

The show will be open to the public from 11 am until 3.30 pm. Entry is £1 with accompanied children free. Some of the cats participating in the show were homed by the branch, so this is a wonderful opportunity to chat to the owners and find out more about adopting from Cats Protection.

Our dedicated fosterers will once again be bringing along some of the cats in our care for the homing section. If you're looking for a precious pet, come along on the day and meet your new best friend. Last year's event resulted in nine cats finding their forever home (four on the day and five as a result of publicity generated by the show and homing day).

Refreshments will be available all day and the Cats Protection stall will conatin bric a brac, cat related items and gifts and much much more.

If you can't make it on the day, or think your moggie may not enjoy a day out, we are also running our popular photo competition. The entry form can be found here.

Last year's event raised a staggering £1200 for the branch, so come along and support us!
