Ely Cats Protection appeal for more fosterers

Cat carers desperately needed Cats Protection’s Ely and District Branch is looking to recruit fosterers to care for unwanted and abandoned cats while they wait to find a new owner. Cat fostering is hands-on cat welfare work looking after felines on a short-term basis, either in cat pens in their garden or a spare room in their home. Microchip helps reunite elderly Cambridgeshire cat with relieved owner

The Ely branch recently assisted one of our supporters in reuniting a 15 year old cat with his very relieved owner. The missing moggy had been seen in a garden in Burwell for several weeks and was obviously very hungry. Once trapped, he was whisked off to the vets where he was scanned for a microchip. A chip was found and his very relieved owner was contacted by the microchip company. This poor cat had ended up quite far ...
