Neuter your cat for a fiver!
03 April 2017
Did you know that a female cat up to the age of 5 can be responsible for 20,000 descendants?
Cats Protection encourage neutering our feline friends as the only effective way to reduce the number of unwanted cats in the United Kingdom.
Cats become sexually active from the age of about 6 months. To ensure you are not going to land yourself with a litter of unwanted kittens, cats should be neutered at around the age of 4 months. Early neutering can also ensure that your male cat remains sweet and affectionate rather than becoming territorial. Male cats who have not been neutered are likely to roam, fight with other cats and spray inside the home.
Neutering your cat helps to prevent a range of diseases and infections which affect both male and female cats.
With our Neuter for a Fiver campaign, Cats Protection can provide financial assistance to those on a low income or benefits. Contact the branch on 01353 699430 for further details.
Watch out for our touring display board at Libraries in Ely, Littleport and Soham in the coming weeks.
